It has been awhile since my last post on here. I am officially down in Florida working at Disney. I got placed working at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I love my job, I only wish it was back in Indy with my friends who I could actually rely on, a boyfriend who I could always see, and a family who I could talk about anything with. I miss Brent, my friends and family so much! The first time I felt like I was home was last week when my dad and Kathie came to visit. Anyways, enough with "the I miss everyone stuff"
The aspects of my job that I like are talking with guests and seeing little kids faces light up when they get into the park and you have the smallest conversation with them. I get along with everyone and how bad is it to walk into work everyday and see Mickey Mouse everyday and working at the Magic Kingdom?!?!?!?!?! I'm getting ready to apply for the management internships and jobs within the Disney corporation, whether that be Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland in California, so we will see what life holds.
It has been hard adapting to the fact that I have three roomates, since this past year was only myself and my cat Sheldon...I haven't had any significant problems with my roomates, overall I was rather lucky.
I'm really looking forward for Brent to visit in 19 days!!!! I'm also super happy for him that he has an interview with a company tomorrow for his first big boy job. We have had to discuss a lot of things with what to do as far as the next step goes, we have usually discussed living in FL. It has not been as easy as we thought though, so now we are trying to figure out what we want to do if he does not get a job down here. But I can tell you this much, I will not be staying down here another 6 months without him here..........
I will try and update this more often.

Summer
So it is official, I have graduated from college and now am off to the real world... this summer has been kind of crazy...I have watched 3 of my best friends get married, worked a lot at the movie theatre, gone to St. Louis for a Cardinals v. Reds game, and prepared to leave for Florida.
It is crazy growing up, going to my friends weddings has been unreal, it seems like just yesterday I was in elementary, junior high, or highschool with some of them. But it has also been so amazing to see these people begin their new lives together. I have found since being home that I have become a lot more independent, it has been really hard to transition from living on my own to living with two or three other people. I have become accustomed to not having to share with people where I am going, sometimes not even talking at all after I have gotten home. Somedays it is nice but on others I would just like some peace and quiet. Anyways, I keep telling myself everytime I find it hard, that this is the last summer I will be home.....when I think about this I am happy but at the same times it is kind of scary.
Only 4 1/2 weeks until I leave for Florida, I am really looking forward to my roadtrip with my mom down to Orlando. My mom is a big fan of Harry Potter, I always make fun of her and give her a hard time about it, but I am really looking forward to visiting the new park at Universal with her. I still have no idea who my roomate will be, but I have signed up for two of the Disney classes. I am going to be taking their Advanced Hospitality course as well as there Creativity and Innovation course, I am really looking forward to taking both of these courses. I hope these courses will give me an edge with my future!

Las Vegas and 492 management night!
So, recently I got back from one of the greatest Spring Breaks ever with some of the best friends ever! We went to Las Vegas and had the time of our lives! We got a great deal at The New York New York hotel and had great service! We went to see Cirque du Soleil: Ka and had a great time at a few night clubs. Dancing at Coyote Ugly was pretty fun! I just want to go back and continue having a great time with my friends!
It was great getting that break from school I felt as though I had been living on campus working on my 492 project. However, when I got back it was time, I had to be ready for my management night! Luckily I had put a lot of work into it and it ended up being a great success, there were a few snags along the way but the night still went well! After my night was over I had such a feeling of relief! I was so happy that I couldn't sleep, I guess it is better then not being able to sleep because I was having a nightmare about the class. I went out the following saturday with some of my group members to celebrate the fact that we were done! Along the way I found out that one of them will be joining me down in Disney to work after graduation! It was exciting knowing that I would know someone else!
Something else that has happened since last is that my parents surprised me with a new bedroom, they are decorating it with adult disney, once it is all done I will post pictures. But it has some of my favorite quotes of Walt Disney's.
Well I have a busy rest of the semester, planning for friends bachelorette parties, bridal showers, weddings, moving, bar crawl, grand prix, and so much more, but only 49 days!

I get by with help from my friends!
I am so lucky to have the best friends and the best boyfriend! When I told them about my acceptance they were all so happy for me! My best friend Rachel and I went out for a celebratory lunch at Harry's Chocolate Shop, we had such a great day! We watched a Disney movie, relaxed and just a had a good time with both of our bfs. We all hung out played games and celbrated life! I think that is the best thing that we can do, because life is so important! We have a lot to celebrate, me and my internship, Rachel got her job at the JW Marriot which is great, the four of us are going to Las Vegas with one of our other favorite people Greg, Rachel and I will both be graduating in a couple short months, we are all in love, and we have a fantastic group of friends!
Currently I am watching the Oscars, what great stuff, I love movies! Congrats Toy Story 3 for the best animated film win! While watching the Oscars, I am also working on random projects for school mostly 492 food lab ugh as well as Eta Sigma Delta stuff and working on my graduation video. I have decided to compile a video that will encompass some things from my High School, College Career, and life in general. I have loved making this video, I have always had a passion for piecing together little videos like this, and I love looking at old pictures with High School friends and my family! I am going to miss all of them a lot, but I cannot wait to start on this new chapter of my life! I am excited for this summer though, I get to spend it at home, which I wasn't able to do last summer, but I get to see 3 of my best friends get married, go to a family reunion, and spend some time with the best parents and friends in the entire world! Tomorrow my mom is coming to visit which I am really excited about we will get to talk about Disney all day! :)

Getting Accepted:
So I applied for the Disney College Program as soon as I could in February. Let me explain my obsession with Disney. The first time I ever went there was when I was 2 years old, I remember my parents sitting me down and telling me that we were going and I wanted to see Piglet. I have gone several times since then, but one of my favorite times that I went was when I was 10 and went on the Disney cruise, we got to spend an entire week in the parks, while in the parks I got the chance to "drive" the Jungle Cruise boat. For a 10 year old that was huge, one of my favorite memories there! Another favorite memory of mine is when I went to Disneyland for the first time with my boyfriend, it was a great experience, just the two of us enjoying Disney. Now Brent (my bf) does not quite get my Disney obsession, but he goes with it.
Anyways, back to applying, I have known that I wanted to work with Disney most of my life and now that I am getting ready to graduate fro Purdue University, this was when I needed to make my big decision. So, I applied and watched the E-presentation, maybe I'm a nerd, but I actually liked watching the videos! After I applied I was given a phone number to call and set up my interview. I was really excited for my interview, and after going through that I had to wait 3-4 weeks to find out if I got in or not!
Well, it just so happens this Tuesday, after a horrible day in my food lab, I recieved notifictaion that I was accepted into the Disney College Program! I was so excited, I had no idea what to do. I was pacing back and forth throughout my apartment trying to call my mom and tell her the good news! It was so great talking to her, because she understands my passion!
Over the next couple days I found out more about the program, and accepted it today actually! I'm super excited to start my new life! I wish I could start sooner than August, but I have 3 really good friends getting married and I wouldn't miss either of their weddings for for the world! This will also give me chance to basically say my goodbyes to most of my family. I'm soexcited I want it to be here already, ahhhhhh DISNEY!!!!!! Love it! I will update this every once and a while on my happening with what will go on during my couple of months in college and what my summer plans are, but most of my posts will be while I'm at Disney!
PS: 5 months and 4 days!
